Large instruments, such as pianos or harps are hard to buy. First, you should consider how much space they take up. Even smaller instruments are not worth buying if you do not intend to learn something and use them properly. KB Piano makes it possible to use your computer as a piano or other instruments. You can adapt to it quickly, thanks to its user friendly interface and clear instructions. If you can not afford a real instrument or you do not have space for it, KB Piano is the next choice you should make.

Most setup wizards will install certain toolbars or other plug-ins on your default browser, without asking for permission. This is not the case when installing KB Piano. You can accept or decline additional tools with a single click. The setup process itself is smooth and it will not take long to complete.

An illustration of a keyboard is displayed on a window, within the main area of the software's interface. Besides letters and numbers, certain keys are also labeled with musical notes, so you would know which keys to press. Clicking the Practice option, in the upper right corner of this window, will bring up a piano keyboard. As you press the buttons on your computer's keyboard, you will hear sounds, played in certain notes and the associated keys, on the piano's keyboard, will be highlighted.

You may select one of many presets from a drop menu, located on the keyboard's window. Presets include other instruments like guitars, violins and other instruments. It is possible to set up multiple instruments on different channels. They are displayed as separate boxes, on the left side of the interface, on which you can change the instrument's volume. You can make further adjustments on a tabbed properties window, located in the editing area. Besides changing the volume, intensity or pan, you can also add effects and select various options.

KB Piano includes a music creator, which requires selecting chords for multiple bars and setting up various events. The software makes it possible to record your music as well. After clicking the Record button, on the main window's toolbar, the music creator will show up, playing your created music and you may also use the piano or other instruments at the same time.

Pros

KB Piano features many tools, sounds and instruments. Although the interface may look intimidating at first, you will see that it is quite easy to use the software. Furthermore, it comes with a step by step video tutorial which can be played immediately by clicking a button on the interface.

Cons

You may need to look around the software's options to select the right output device, otherwise you will not hear anything. Even if you are unskilled in music, KB Piano's easy to understand tools and detailed tutorials will help you create quality music, without too much effort.
